DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:
The overall objective of the project “Breaking Trails, Breaking Barriers” is to raise awareness and initiate a dialogue about gender roles and biases among young people, and to inspire them to take action towards creating a more equal and inclusive society. The non-formal education program will use the hand, heart, and head approach, emphasizing individual and group learning, interactivity, and respect. The facilitator and group leaders will create a safe and supportive environment, using current tools and techniques to ensure the participants’ safety and trust. The program will provide participants with the opportunity to experience a gender-equal society and examine the effects of gender discrimination.

Also Aim to:

  • Increase knowledge and understanding of gender roles, discrimination, and social inclusion among young people through non-formal education activities, such as workshops, interactive activities, and simulation games.
  • Use outdoor education as a tool to provide a unique and engaging learning experience that appeals to young people with various learning preferences.
  • Foster intercultural dialogue and understanding by bringing together young people from different countries to work towards a common goal.PARTISPANTS PROFILE: 
  • AGE LIMIT: FROM 18 – TO 29
  • Beginner youth-workers, young leaders, young people, who are already active, but aim to develop as youth leaders, concretely in the sphere of education, inclusion, active participation concepts, to get new tools used during the sharing process.
  • Be ready for outdoor activities! Please be prepared for various weather conditions (bring comfortable shoes & rain coats)bring swimming suits .
  • Be ready to present your country, share stories on why are you proud to represent it. We would like to: See your traditional dances, listen to traditional music & taste your. food.
  • Make sure you are ready to step outside your comfort zone, spend time with 40 other people for 12 days, participate in all activities, share your ideas & have a great time.
  • *Be ready to present your representative organizations during the NGO Fair.
